Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Step Down for a Med Surg/Telemetry unit requiring 2 years of PCU/Med-Surg Telemetry acute care experience and a WI or compact RN license.

Details

• Hospital-based position on the Med Surg 7E unit
• May be placed on a PCU or Med/Surg/Tele unit based on facility need and traveler's skill set
• 13-week assignment with a 07:00-19:30 shift schedule
• Requires working every other weekend and every other holiday
• Uses Epic EMR
• Floating required within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of PCU/Med-Surg Telemetry acute care experience
• RN Step Down (PCU) specialty exam and skills competency required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a PCU or Med/Surg/Telemetry unit based on facility needs
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• COVID vaccination is not required
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate
• Candidates should begin discussing extension opportunities with their manager approximately 45 days before assignment end date
