Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN Float Pool nurse for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring 2+ years of experience and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Hospital float pool position covering Emergency Department, ER hold, Medical Surgical, Telemetry, and PCU/Stepdown units
• Float within facility scope of practice, including ED
• Up to 1:7 patient ratio in Med-Surg
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• No schedule requests can be accommodated due to float pool status

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) required at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Experience with cardiac telemetry, IV therapy, central and PICC line management, and cardiac drip management preferred
• ICU/ED experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide float coverage across multiple units including ED, Med-Surg, Telemetry, and PCU/Stepdown
• Perform cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and respond to rapid response/code team activations
• Manage ventilated and non-invasive airway patients, oxygen therapy, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, must be finalized at time of consideration
• No RTO permitted during orientation week
• Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day)
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Former Piedmont perm/PRN/internal staff must be separated for one full year before applying as a traveler
• Returning travelers who were cancelled or not approved to return must complete an assignment outside Piedmont before reapplying
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
