Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a PCU Float position on night shift, requiring at least 1 year of experience and a GA or compact RN license.

Details

• Float pool position covering MS, MS/Tele, and PCU units within the hospital
• Adult to geriatric patient population with MS, MS/Tele, and PCU diagnoses
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5 for PCU and 1:5-6 for MS/MS Tele
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Uses Epic (required), Pyxis, and SBAR communication systems
• Required to work every other weekend, averaging 6 weekends in a 13-week contract
• Floating required to all MS, MS/Tele, and PCU units
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must provide copies of all required certifications for consideration

Additional Information

• Navy blue scrubs required
• Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted per contract
• Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day)
• If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment, no holiday RTO may be requested
• If three major holidays fall within the assignment, one holiday RTO request may be reviewed for approval
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Returning travelers must have been away from all facilities within the health system for one full year to be eligible
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Travel pairs cannot be scheduled on the same shift and unit
• Full compliance required to start on time, as non-compliance may result in a two-week delay due to bi-weekly orientation scheduling
