Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a hospital float pool nurse, providing care across multiple units including Emergency Department, ER Hold, Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, and Stepdown/PCU
  • Adapt clinical practice to varying patient populations and acuity levels within scope of practice
  • Manage patient loads of up to 1:7 in Medical-Surgical settings, with ratios varying by unit
  • Work every other weekend as part of the standard float pool schedule
  • Be available and flexible to facility scheduling needs; no schedule requests can be accommodated post-offer or onsite
  • Work applicable major holidays that fall within the assignment period per facility holiday policy

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia or a Compact state required at time of submission
  • Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required; first-time travelers are not accepted
  • Must be flexible with scheduling — no schedule requests can be requested or approved post-offer or onsite
  • All requested time off (RTO) must be finalized at time of submission; maximum of 7 days RTO per contract
  • Full compliance with onboarding requirements must be completed by the Tuesday prior to start date; delays may result in a two-week pushback due to bi-weekly orientation schedule
  • Local candidates are welcome and accepted at the same rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred
  • Experience across multiple acute care settings including ED, Telemetry, and PCU/Stepdown
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to new environments and varying patient acuity levels
