Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an IMC/Telemetry float pool position requiring recent Epic experience and 2+ years of IMC/Tele experience in a hospital setting.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele/IMC Float Pool position, floating between MS units and IMC units
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 18:30 to 07:00
• Patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:6
• Cares for patients with acute respiratory distress, septic shock, hypertensive crisis, severe congestive heart failure, myocardial infarction, unstable angina, and trauma
• Epic EMR required
• Floating required between Med/Surg and IMC units, in accordance with facility floating policy and appropriate orientation
• Expect to work some holidays and weekends

Requirements

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• 2+ years of recent Telemetry experience in a hospital setting required
• 2+ years of experience on an IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit in a hospital setting required
• Recent Epic EMR experience required
• Travel experience required
• Flu shot and 2-step PPD required with no exceptions
• DL and SSN copies required for consideration
• Two references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care across Med/Surg, Telemetry, and IMC patient populations
• Must be comfortable floating between MS and IMC units as a core expectation of the role
• RTO must be submitted and approved prior to assignment confirmation
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered, as locals are not accepted
• Travelers must separate for a minimum of 90 days after a 1-year assignment before being eligible to return
• Former permanent employees must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
