Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Cardiac Step Down night shift position requiring tele cardiac experience and an active MI license.

Details

  • Work in the PCU Cardiac Step Down unit of a full-service hospital with a level II trauma center and Comprehensive Stroke Center
  • All telemetry patient population with 4:1 ratios, sometimes stretching to 5:1
  • Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7p-7:15a
  • Every other weekend and holiday required
  • No on-call requirements
  • Floating to other PCU/Med Surg floors as needed
  • Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

  • Active Michigan (MI) RN license required, compact license not accepted
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA)
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • Tele cardiac experience required
  • Skills checklist current within 1 year pertinent to PCU specialty required
  • 2 supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years required
  • LARA and/or Nursys verification of active MI license required

Additional Information

  • Assess patients for physical, emotional, psych/social and family support needs
  • Organize and coordinate all aspects of patient care based on patient needs
  • Evaluate patient progress against plan of care or clinical path
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members in planning and implementing total patient care
  • Navy blue scrub color required
  • Recent travel work history highly preferred
  • Local candidates within a 50-mile radius will be considered for a single 13-week contract only
  • No more than 5 days of RTO can be requested
