GLC On-The-Go is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Alliance, Nebraska.
Join our team as a Med/Tele RN in a leading acute-care hospital's Patient Care Unit in Alliance, NE. This role is perfect for experienced RNs who thrive in a dynamic environment and are committed to providing exceptional patient care.
This position is for 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with a focus on telemetry patients. The unit features 25 private beds, including 23 Med/Tele beds and 2 Medical Decision Unit beds. The patient population primarily includes individuals with COPD exacerbations, CHF, and those requiring long-term care, such as amputations, wound care, and long-term antibiotics. Postpartum and pediatric patients may also be present.
The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:4, with 1:5 being a stretch. A Charge Nurse is available on every shift and does not take patients, ensuring support for the nursing staff. Central telemetry monitoring is provided, along with two portable telemetry monitors. Social Services are accessible on the floor with three Case Managers available to assist.
Supportive resources include an in-house pharmacy operating until 11:00 PM Monday through Friday, with a remote pharmacist available overnight and on weekends. The lab operates 24/7 and handles all blood draws. Patients receive excellent therapy services, with therapy sessions occurring several times a day. Charting is done using Meditech Expanse, and Alaris pumps are utilized for medication administration.
Alliance, NE does not have Uber or Lyft services, so travelers will need their own reliable transportation for the assignment.
