Nurse aides and PCTs typically staff the unit with a ratio of 1:5. Telemonitoring is centralized and operates 24/7. Nurses must be able to read and interpret telemetry appropriately and communicate changes with physicians for timely intervention. Schedules are made four weeks in advance. Weekend requirements include a minimum of every other weekend. Holiday rotation may be required. There is no call or standby requirement. Scrub color is maroon red.
