Start time may vary between 0730 to 0900. Handling and cutting frozens will be part of the duties, with an estimated 5-10 per day. There may sometimes be a resident assigned to cover frozens. The average census is 160 cases per day and approximately 700 blocks per day. The case complexity varies, with about 60% small cases, 20% moderate biopsies, and 20% complex cases. Training will be provided by current Pathology Assistants. Client scrubs are provided. Weekend and holiday requirements are not applicable. There is no call or standby call requirement.
