Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift palliative care position requiring 2+ years of acute care experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• MS/Tele unit with a focus on Palliative Care on the 11th floor
• Palliative care patients under treatment requiring symptom management for uncontrolled pain, severe nausea/vomiting, failure to thrive, and fatigue
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00-7:30
• May involve a rotating Day/Night schedule with shift assignments reviewed every 4-week period
• Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity level
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required at time of submission
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of current acute care RN experience in the specialty applied for, with consistent work in the last 12 months
• Epic charting experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Skilled in medication administration, Heparin protocols, PCA, cardiac monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Skilled in isolation precautions/PPE, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, and IV therapy/phlebotomy
• 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a manager/director or supervisor and the second from a charge RN or higher; no coworker references accepted
