Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced PACU RN with 5+ years of experience and active MA licensure for a 13-week assignment with weekend rotation.

Details

  • Post Anesthesia Care Unit supporting General Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Orthopedics, Urology, and Gynecology patients
  • Patient population includes pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
  • 34-bed unit with a census of 30 to 40 patients per day
  • 1 RN to 2 patients ratio
  • Shift is primarily evenings, rotating 9:00am-5:00pm, with occasional day shift and every other weekend; no night shifts
  • No floating required
  • Uses EPIC EMR charting system
  • 13-week assignment

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license required (NURSYS and BON verification required; conditional or pending licenses not accepted)
  • AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • Minimum 5 years of PACU RN experience required
  • Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

Additional Information

  • Provide post-anesthesia care and recovery monitoring for surgical patients across multiple specialties
  • Local candidates permitted, but must reside more than 60 miles from Boston to qualify for the standard travel rate
  • Uses UKG/Kronos timekeeping system
