Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring Level I trauma experience and pediatric/geriatric PACU background.

Details

• Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at a Level I Trauma Center and Level II pediatric trauma center
• Cares for pediatric through geriatric patient populations
• Epic EMR used
• Varied 8-hour shifts covering days and evenings (0700-1530, 0900-1730, 1100-1930, 1500-2330)
• Required to work every 3rd weekend
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active MN RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA or ARC) required
• Minimum 2 years critical care experience (ICU/ED) required
• Previous PACU experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms required
• Pediatric and geriatric patient population experience required
• Level I Trauma Center experience required

Additional Information

• Provides holistic nursing care across the lifecycle, from neonates to older adults
• Executes full Standards of Nursing Practice including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Coordinates care among disciplines and delegates appropriately to other care team members
• Royal blue scrubs required per dress code
• MN DHS Net Study & fingerprinting required for all patient-facing positions
• Must reside within a 35-mile radius of the facility to qualify for the local traveler rate
