Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring Level I trauma experience and prior travel experience.

Details

  • Post Anesthesia Care Unit within a Level I Trauma Center and Level II pediatric trauma center
  • Cares for a pediatric to geriatric patient population
  • Uses Epic EMR
  • Varied 8-hour shifts covering days and evenings (0700-1530, 0900-1730, 1100-1930, 1500-2330)
  • Weekend rotation required every 3rd weekend
  • No on-call requirements

Requirements

  • Active MN RN license required (compact license not accepted)
  • Minimum 2 years critical care experience (ICU/ED)
  • Previous PACU experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA or ARC) required
  • Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms required
  • Experience with pediatric and geriatric patient populations required
  • Level I Trauma Center experience required
  • Skills checklist current within 1 year pertinent to the specialty required for consideration
  • 2 supervisory references with employment dates required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provides holistic nursing care across the lifecycle from neonates to older adults
  • Executes the full nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Coordinates care among disciplines and delegates appropriately to other care providers
  • Dress code requires royal blue scrubs
  • Candidates must list any prior work history with this health system, its Maple Grove location, or affiliated LLC on their resume
  • MN DHS background study and fingerprinting required for all patient-facing positions
  • Local candidates within a 35-mile radius are considered local travelers and subject to a reduced rate
  • RTO requests must be submitted at time of application and may not be honored if submitted later
