Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced PACU RN for a Level III trauma center, requiring 3+ years of recovery experience and NM or compact RN licensure.

Details

  • Work in the Main PACU as a Phase I Recovery RN
  • Recover patients from General Surgery, Ortho, Neuro, Ob/Gyn, Urology, ENT, and Robotics procedures
  • 7-bed unit with patient ratios ranging from 1:1 to 1:2
  • Adult patient population with mid to high acuity levels
  • Uses Mindray equipment and Cerner EHR
  • Day shift schedule from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM
  • On-call requirements for weekends and evenings
  • Possible float assignments to PreOp and/or Endo

Requirements

  • Active RN license (NM or Compact) currently in hand
  • Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Minimum 3 years of PACU recovery experience required
  • Trauma level recovery experience required
  • RN degree required
  • Peds Dental recovery experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Provide Phase I recovery care to surgical patients across multiple specialties
  • Work within a Level III trauma center that performs Level I and II procedures except open heart surgery
  • Facility serves the Four Corners region spanning New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah
