Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a PACU position at a Trauma Level 1 facility requiring at least one year of PACU experience.

Details

• Adult PACU unit in a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours)
• Care for post-anesthesia patients recovering from surgical procedures
• Trauma Level 1 facility

Requirements

• Active RN License issued by Oklahoma or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Minimum of 1 year of PACU nursing experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred

Additional Information

• Provide post-anesthesia nursing care including monitoring physiological data, administering medications, and managing IV infusions and blood products
• Communicate care plans with patients and families, including discharge education
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
• Facility enforces strict compliance deadlines; onboarding requirements must be completed promptly with no push starts allowed
• Travelers may extend a single time up to a total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation is required before reapplying afterward
