Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced PACU RN for a high acuity, high volume unit requiring recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience.

Details

• Work in a high acuity, high volume PACU environment
• Day/night rotation with variable shift starts at 0700, 0800, 0900, 1000, 1100, and 1900
• Care for post-surgical patients including vascular (carotids/AAA repairs), general, thoracic (esophagectomy), gynecology, neuro (craniotomy for tumor, neurostimulators, modified radical neck with trach), orthopedic, kidney transplant, and Whipple procedures
• Manage ventricular drains; ICP monitoring patients are transferred directly to ICU
• Utilize art lines, central lines, vasoactive and sedative drips, chest tubes, and trach care
• Regularly board overnight ICU craniotomy, step-down, or med-surg patients

Requirements

• Active RN license (NH or Compact) required
• BLS certification mandatory
• Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience within the last 2 years required
• Previous ICU and/or high acuity PACU experience preferred

Additional Information

• Work in a fast-paced, controlled chaos environment during evening shifts
• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for consideration
