• Employment Type: Travel Nurse Job
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Days, 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Shift Duration: 10-hour shifts
• Work Schedule: 4 shifts per week
• Hours Per Week: 40
• On-Call: One night call per week
• Weekend Requirement: 2 weekends per month
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,120 – $2,230
• Start Date: ASAP

Job Requirements

• Active New Mexico RN license or current compact state RN license
• Current BLS certification through AHA
• Current ACLS certification through AHA
• Current PALS certification through AHA
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
• At least 1 year of recent nursing experience preferred; PACU nurse or perioperative nursing experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills and the ability to provide patient-centered care across all age groups
• Comfort working in a fast-paced surgical recovery environment
• Ability to float within surgical services as needed
• Experience using EPIC is helpful

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient, and compassionate care to patients recovering from anesthesia
• Perform initial assessments, ongoing reassessments, and timely nursing documentation
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on patient needs
• Monitor patient progress and respond quickly to changes requiring intervention
• Administer appropriate nursing interventions and evaluate patient outcomes
• Support patient and family education throughout recovery and discharge planning
• Carry out point-of-care testing procedures as assigned
• Collaborate closely with physicians, anesthesia providers, and surgical team members
• Maintain a professional, respectful, and patient-focused approach at all times
• Float within surgical services when needed to support patient care operations
