• Shift: 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Call: Required, approximately 6–8 days per month, self-scheduled
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,120–$2,230
• Charting: Cerner experience preferred
• Setting: Peri-Anesthesia / PACU with occasional Pre-Op coverage

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• 2 years of PACU, post-anesthesia care, or peri-anesthesia experience preferred
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
• Strong pediatric PACU experience required
• Critical care experience strongly preferred
• Experience recovering orthopedic, neuro, general, urology, dental, GYN, and pediatric ENT cases
• Comfort caring for patients ages 8 months through geriatric populations
• Cerner experience preferred
• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced surgical recovery environment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality post-anesthesia recovery care to pediatric and adult patients
• Monitor and manage patients recovering from a wide range of surgical procedures, excluding cardiac cases
• Assist with coverage in Pre-Op Holding when needed
• Care for patients with nerve blocks, chest tubes, central lines, intubations, and arterial lines
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition using strong clinical judgment
• Support pain management, airway monitoring, and procedural recovery protocols
• Collaborate with surgical, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure smooth patient flow
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
