Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) position requiring 1 year of specialty experience and MT or compact RN licensure.

Details

  • Work in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) of a hospital setting
  • Day shift schedule, 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week
  • Uses Epic for charting
  • May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
  • May be required to take on-call during a regularly scheduled shift

Requirements

  • Active RN license (MT or compact) currently in hand
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
  • ACLS/NRP/PALS certification as appropriate for the unit or service, must be AHA-issued and not expire prior to start
  • ASN required, BSN preferred
  • 1 year of experience in PACU required
  • DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, including health teaching and counseling
  • Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
  • Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans, referring patients for further evaluation as needed
  • Permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before becoming eligible for a travel assignment
