Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN - PACU for a 13-week days assignment requiring active NM or Compact RN license and PALS certification.

Details

• Work in the Post Surgical PACU unit of a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule consisting of 4, 10-hour rotating shifts from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• Weekend requirement of 2 weekends per month with 12-hour on-call shifts
• On-call requirement of one night per week
• Floating required within surgical services
• Uses Epic EMR system

Requirements

• Active New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS via AHA
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant RN experience required
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
• Experience with Point of Care testing procedures

Additional Information

• Coordinate and implement patient care specific to the age of the patient population served
• Perform initial patient assessments and establish care priorities based on age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care within established nursing standards
• Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning
• Graphite gray scrubs required for dress code
• Candidates must live within a 50-mile radius for local rate consideration
• Returning employees who previously worked at any CHRISTUS facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a travel assignment
