• Shift: 4x10-hour evenings, 10:30 AM - 9:00 PM
• Shifts Per Week: 4
• Guaranteed Hours: 70 hours per 2-week period
• Charting System: Epic
• Float: Required between nearby sister facilities as needed
• Patient Population: Pediatrics (1+ year), adults, and geriatrics

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required; compact license must be in hand at submission if applicable
• At least 1 year of PACU nursing, pre-op nursing, or post-op nursing experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Experience with Epic charting preferred
• Strong assessment skills, dysrhythmia recognition, and medication management skills
• Comfort working with same-day surgery, inpatient admits, and observation patients
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based recovery room setting

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care for patients recovering from anesthesia and procedural sedation
• Monitor vital signs, airway status, pain levels, and post-operative recovery progress
• Support Phase I and Phase II recovery workflows for a broad range of surgical services
• Start and maintain IVs, administer medications, and manage reversal agents as ordered
• Perform pre-op and post-op assessments, discharge teaching, and medication reconciliation
• Review history and physicals, obtain and confirm procedural consent, and prepare patients for recovery or discharge
• Communicate closely with anesthesia, surgical teams, and interdisciplinary staff to ensure high-quality patient care
• Adapt to a varied surgical case mix, including vascular, general surgery, orthopedics, pediatrics, urology, gynecology, neuro/spine, thoracic, trauma, bariatrics, ENT, ophthalmology, plastics, IR, and more
