PACU Travel Nurse Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,870–$1,970
- Nursing Specialty: PACU / Same-Day Surgery / Post-Anesthesia Care
- Schedule: 7:30 AM–6:00 PM day shifts with on-call responsibilities as scheduled
- Shift Duration: 10-hour day shifts
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 12, 2026
- Location: Dublin, Georgia
- Work Environment: On-site, 14-bed surgical services unit with typical patient ratios of 2–3:1 post-operatively and 1–2:1 pre-operatively, based on acuity

- Clinical Equipment: Bladder scanner, vein finder, and EKG machine
PACU Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Georgia
- At least 1 year of recent pre-operative and post-operative nursing experience
- PACU, same-day surgery, post-anesthesia care, or comparable surgical services experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Ability to complete pediatric and neuro post-operative competency training as required
- Competence with IV starts, basic IV infusions, Foley catheter insertion, and EKGs
- Ability to follow unit policies, participate in on-call coverage, and float within surgical services as needed
- Professional communication skills and a commitment to delivering a positive patient experience
PACU RN Responsibilities
- Provide safe, attentive nursing care to patients in the pre-operative and post-operative phases of surgical care
- Monitor patients’ vital signs, pain levels, airway status, surgical recovery, and overall clinical condition
- Administer medications and basic IV infusions according to established orders and protocols
- Perform IV starts, Foley catheter insertion, EKGs, and other unit-appropriate nursing procedures
- Prepare patients for procedures and support safe discharge planning following post-anesthesia recovery
- Recognize changes in patient status and promptly communicate concerns to the surgical and clinical teams
- Complete accurate clinical documentation in Meditech
- Collaborate with nurses, providers, technicians, and support staff to promote efficient patient flow and excellent patient care
- Demonstrate AIDET principles and maintain a professional, compassionate patient experience
