Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, PACU – Everett, WA 98201
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Everett, Washington
Schedule: 4x10 hour day shifts (0900-1930), 70 guaranteed hours per 2-week period. Weekend coverage required once per 4-week period. Call required once per 4-week period (one primary and one secondary call shift). Staggered start times throughout the day and night with both 10-hour and 12-hour shifts available.
Highlights:
- Work in a 29-bay PACU across two floors at a Level II Trauma Center with 571 total staffed beds
- Diverse patient population including pediatric (1 year+), adult, and geriatric patients with same-day surgeries and inpatient admissions
- Recover patients from a wide variety of surgical specialties including cardiovascular lab procedures (Watchman's, TAVRs, EP cases), vascular, general, robotic, orthopedic, neuro/spine, thoracic, trauma, GI, interventional radiology, bariatric, ENT, and plastics
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
- ASPAN standards followed with 2:1 patient ratios and Epic charting system
- First-time travelers accepted with 13-week assignment length
Requirements:
- Current Washington state RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at submission)
- Minimum 1 year of PACU nursing experience required
- ACLS and BLS certifications required; PALS preferred
- Epic charting system experience required
- Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
- Skills required: Airway assessment, arterial line management, dysrhythmia recognition/management, care of ventilated patients, IV vasopressors, Phase I PACU, monitored anesthesia care (MAC), nerve blocks, post-epidural management, placement of oral/nasal airways, and reversal agents
- Must provide 2 professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Local candidates within 50-mile radius not accepted
