Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 1 year of current hospital PACU experience
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Strong ability to work in a fast-paced surgical recovery environment
• Upbeat, adaptable personality with excellent teamwork skills
• Pre-op experience preferred

PACU Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality post-anesthesia recovery care for surgical patients
• Monitor patients during Phase I recovery and Phase II discharge
• Assess patient status and respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the healthcare team to support safe recovery
• Maintain accurate documentation using the facility EMR
• Deliver compassionate, efficient care in a busy PACU setting
