Registered Nurse (RN) – PACU

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days | 3x12-hour shifts (7:30 AM – 8:00 PM, flexibility with times required) | On-call required: one night per week (8:00 PM – 7:00 AM) and one 24-hour call on Saturday or Sunday per 6-week schedule period | Expected 72 hours biweekly

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide total patient care in a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) setting
  • Maintain a patient ratio of 1:1 to 1:2 in accordance with unit standards
  • Monitor and manage post-operative patients through recovery, identifying and responding to changes in patient condition
  • Document patient care accurately using Cerner SurgiNet EMR
  • Participate in on-call responsibilities as scheduled, including overnight and weekend call rotations

Required Qualifications

  • Active RN Licensure (applicable state or compact)
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • Minimum 1 year of critical care experience (PACU, ICU, or ED)
  • Proficiency with total patient care delivery model
  • Familiarity with Cerner SurgiNet or comparable EMR platform
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Prior travel nursing experience in a PACU or surgical setting
  • Experience with 1:1 patient ratios in high-acuity post-operative environments
  • Strong adaptability and flexibility with scheduling requirements
