Job Summary:
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse position located in a healthcare facility. The role involves providing specialized post-operative care to patients recovering from anesthesia, ensuring patient safety, stability, and comfort during the critical recovery phase.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications:
- One (1) year of recent full-time equivalent experience within the last three years
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state where care is provided
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Current Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support (PALS) certification
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field
- Procedural Sedation Competency
- Minimum of two (2) years of critical care experience with adult patients, preferably in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit environment
- Minimum of two (2) years of clinical care experience with Pediatrics, preferably in Emergency Room, Intensive Care Unit, or Post Anesthesia Care Unit environments
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing Procedural Sedation in outpatient settings
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Pain Management injection procedures
