Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Reno, NV. This position provides comprehensive nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients throughout the recovery process. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, care coordination, and support for patients and their families or caregivers.
Job Details
- Schedule: Rotating 10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, with varied shifts and rotating weekdays.
- Required Qualifications: Nevada registered nurse license required before start; American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications; minimum of 2 years of Recovery Room experience; prior travel experience required.
- Additional Information:
- Provides care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and their families or caregivers.
- Performs patient assessment, care planning, intervention, evaluation, and coordination with other healthcare professionals.
- Provides care in a fast-paced recovery environment requiring continuous clinical judgment and attention to patient safety.
- May be required to work weekends, major holidays, and scheduled call shifts.
- Call responsibilities include two weeknight shifts and one weekend day.
- Schedule may vary based on department needs.
- Travelers may be required to float to meet operational needs within their competency level.
