PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Specialist Location unspecified. This position involves providing post-operative care for adult and geriatric patients in a Same Day Surgery Center, with responsibilities including patient admission and discharge, assessment, and patient education. The role requires strong clinical skills, multitasking ability, and effective communication with healthcare team members.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), 2 years of PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) experience, minimum 1 year of relevant experience, good time management and customer service skills.
- Schedule: Days shift, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Must have experience working in outpatient surgical facilities, including admitting and discharge procedures, Phase I and II/PACU experience, and IV starts. Cerner Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience is required. Candidates must have their own vehicle as public transportation is unavailable in the community. Vacation requests, holidays, and scheduling must be coordinated at submission. Travelers must agree to take call two weekends per month and work during major holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year.
