Job Summary:
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) registered nurse (RN) position in Berkeley, California. This role involves providing patient care in a Same Day Surgery/Pre-Operative Unit with occasional on-call shifts and variable start times. The nurse will be responsible for managing patients through recovery, ensuring their safety, comfort, and appropriate discharge planning.

Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, community hospital experience, trauma level I or II experience, travel experience (if applicable)
Additional Information: The RN will be floating between the Post Anesthesia Care Unit and Same Day Surgery areas (Phase I and Phase II). Responsibilities include implementing the nursing process, prioritizing patient safety, coordinating care with the healthcare team, and responding to medical emergencies. Clinical judgment, critical thinking, and effective communication are essential for success in this role.
