Job Summary
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) Location unspecified. This position involves providing specialized care in the post-anesthesia environment within a short-term acute care facility. The role requires the ability to work in preoperative, postoperative, and PACU settings, with a focus on patient safety, monitoring, and recovery.
Job Details
- Schedule: Evening shifts, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid clinical certifications including ACLS, BLS, and PALS; experience with Epic charting system; at least 1 year of PACU or related perioperative care experience; current state license (compact license accepted); able to work in pre-op, post-op, and PACU; experience with end-tidal CO2 monitoring, airway assessment, airway management, and related procedures.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a Level I or Level II trauma center; neuro, ortho, or vascular surgery experience; familiarity with intraoperative procedures and critical care procedures.
- Additional Information: Ability to float between units as necessary; willing to work during holiday periods; candidates must have relevant experience in all phases of perioperative care and be capable of multitasking within a high-acuity environment.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates are required to respond to specific questions regarding prior experience at Providence facilities, provide two recent references covering at least one year, and demonstrate compliance with licensure and background policies.
