Job Summary
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is based in Asheville, North Carolina. This role involves providing specialized recovery care for patients following surgical procedures, ensuring stability and safety during the post-anesthesia recovery period. The position offers a schedule of four days per week, with scheduled shifts typically between 8 AM and 5 PM, in a busy and reputable acute care facility.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Day shifts scheduled from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Active North Carolina or compact state nursing license; 3 years of experience in a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU); BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric endoscopy experience; pulmonary endoscopy experience; endoscopy technician experience.
  • Float: None, unless traveler volunteers.
  • Additional Information: The PACU unit handles adult and pediatric procedures such as EGD, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, and more. The role may include vaccine and protocol adherence, and unit policies are provided for review. Schedule includes one overnight call shift per week, with call starting at the end of the scheduled shift until 7 AM, and two weekend call shifts during a six-week cycle.
