Job Summary
The organization is seeking a qualified Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) registered nurse for a temporary assignment in a healthcare facility. The nurse will be responsible for providing specialized post-operative care to patients recovering from anesthesia. The role requires coordinating patient assessments, monitoring vital signs, and collaborating with surgical teams to ensure safe recovery.
Job Details
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS
- Education Requirements: Valid nursing license, drivers license or state ID, professional profile, and three professional references.
- Required Qualifications: Active nursing license, minimum of 2 years of experience in the PACU or related settings, experience with pre/post-operative care of OR, GI, IR procedures, PACU, and travel experience. Proficient in EPIC documentation.
- Schedule: Day shift, 8-hour shifts, scheduled start between 0600 and 0800, minimum of 40 hours per week. Call based on department needs, including 1-2 shifts per week during weekdays, every third weekend, and rotating holidays.
- Additional Information: Must have experience in pre/postoperative care of OR, GI, and IR procedures, and PACU. There may be opportunities to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if required.
