Job Summary
PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Nurse in a healthcare facility is responsible for providing post-anesthesia recovery care to patients. The role supports both preoperative and recovery units, focusing on patient stabilization and comfort following surgical procedures. The position involves working four 10-hour day shifts weekly, including on-call weekends and holidays, with a requirement for critical care experience.
Job Details
- Position Description: Support for both preoperative and recovery units, with four 10-hour shifts starting between 0500 and 0900 hours, four days per week. On-call weekends occur every four weeks, covering both Saturday and Sunday for 12 hours. Flexibility with shift times and working conditions is provided to assist with work-life balance.
- Required Qualifications: Certification in ACLS, PALS, BLS, and NIHSS. Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience. Education requirements include licensure as a registered nurse.
- Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week, days, with on-call weekends every 4 weeks and holiday coverage as needed.
- Additional Information: Experience with Alines, ventilator management, and Epic charting system is preferred. Candidates should have familiarity with PACU patient care, including ortho, gyn, pediatric, vascular, ENT, C-section, GI, and general surgery recovery cases.
- Submission Requirements: Active RN license and ability to submit required certifications.
