PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Nurse Location: unspecified. This position involves providing specialized care to patients recovering from anesthesia following various surgical procedures, including general surgery, vascular, plastics, gynecology, eye, thoracic, and other specialties. The role requires expertise in pre-operative and post-operative patient management, with duties extending to overseeing patient stabilization and discharge planning.

Job Details

  • Required Qualifications: ACLS, BLS certifications; at least 1 year of experience in a PACU or similar setting; valid compact license; scheduling on days, 10-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Schedule: Dayshift, 10 hours per shift, minimum 40 hours weekly.
  • Additional Information: Float rotation may be required. The position involves working with patients of various age groups, from adolescents to geriatrics, and managing a daily census as determined by the facility. Candidates must be comfortable with pre-op for vascular procedures, endoscopy, and occasionally pediatric cases. The role includes completing modules pre-start and during orientation, with time spent recorded in Workramp transcripts. Candidates must include responses to specific pre-submittal questions regarding prior work at Providence facilities and provide two references covering the last three years.
