The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) to work in a facility located in Los Alamos, NM. This role involves providing specialized care for adult patients primarily following surgical procedures, with some on-call responsibilities during nights and weekends. Job Details
- Position: Registered Nurse (RN) PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit)
- Location: Los Alamos, NM
- Shift Schedule: Days, 8-hour shifts, with some call on nights and weekends. Weekly guaranteed hours are approximately 40.
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), minimum of 2 years of RN experience, and prior PACU experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Preoperative and PACU settings.
- Additional Responsibilities: Providing care for adult patients, primarily for ENT procedures such as tonsillectomy or gallbladder surgeries. The unit has a patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2 and utilizes CQI and Medhost electronic health records.
- Schedule: Days, 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Requirements for Submission: Certifications, valid RN license, and proof of experience.
- Float: This is a shared position with Preoperative care, with no expectation to float elsewhere.
