Job Summary
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in a healthcare facility. The role involves providing high-quality, patient-centered care to patients emerging from anesthesia, assessing patient condition, and ensuring safety throughout the peri-operative process. This position requires a dedicated nursing professional capable of working independently within a dynamic interdisciplinary team.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date; Associate Degree (APRNs) or Registered Nurse (RN) license must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date; no minimum years of experience specified but at least 1 year of experience preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Post Anesthesia Care Unit or similar surgical recovery setting preferred.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include evaluating patients prior to surgery, providing patient and family education, participating in surgical site verification, responding to emergencies, and applying evidence-based practices. The nurse will also be responsible for thoroughly documenting patient condition changes and patient education.
