Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant position located in Fort Myers, Florida. This role involves assisting in implementing treatment plans, helping patients regain mobility and strength, and promoting patient safety. The position emphasizes teamwork, adherence to safety protocols, and delivering high-quality outpatient therapy services.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited school, CAPTE certification, at least 1 year of outpatient clinical experience, current CPR certification, and an active license for the state of Florida.
- Preferred Qualifications: Successful completion of prior assignments with the agency or the facility is highly desired; previous experience with the organization is a plus.
- Additional Information: Assists the Physical Therapist in implementing therapeutic interventions such as posture training, strengthening exercises, balance and coordination exercises, gait training with assistive devices, and modalities including whirlpools, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation. Ensures safety and proper use of equipment, documents patient progress, and participates in team conferences and quality improvement initiatives. Maintains compliance with all clinic policies, infection control, and safety regulations, including proper hand hygiene and equipment sanitation. Provides excellent customer service and collaborates with other healthcare disciplines to optimize patient outcomes.
