Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Outpatient Oncology Infusion position requiring NC/compact RN licensure and an ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification.

Details

  • Outpatient oncology infusion clinic setting at a comprehensive cancer care center
  • Provides chemotherapy and biotherapy infusions, blood product administration, IV iron, fluids, and electrolytes, and port lab draws and injections
  • Delivers patient and family education and emotional support throughout treatment
  • Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., no alternative schedules
  • No weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements

Requirements

  • Active NC or compact RN license required
  • AHA or ARC BLS certification required
  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification required (ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration not accepted)
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
  • Minimum 2 years of outpatient chemotherapy/immunotherapy infusion experience required
  • Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN required; BSN or MSN preferred

Additional Information

  • Coordinates and delivers patient care using the nursing process within an interdisciplinary team
  • Performs bedside point-of-care testing as needed for patient care plans
  • Participates in discharge planning, patient education, and continuity of care communication
  • Clinic is closed on all major holidays and weekends
  • Facility is one of five comprehensive cancer care locations offering on-site chemotherapy education, social work, lab, and infusion services
