Description

American Traveler is hiring an Outpatient Occupational Therapist with 1+ year experience and prior travel assignment experience for a hospital-based rehabilitation clinic.

Details

  • Hospital-based outpatient rehabilitation clinic setting
  • Treat adult patients with adolescent experience preferred
  • Patient diagnoses include lymphedema, cognitive evaluation/treatment, and other musculoskeletal and neurological conditions
  • Daily patient load of 10-11 patients
  • Day shift schedule, 4x8 hours, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
  • No call or weekend requirements
  • No routine floating required, except to cover other sites during low patient census
  • Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

  • Current Michigan OT license required if applicable
  • BLS certification (AHA) required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience required
  • Prior travel assignment experience required
  • Experience in lymphedema treatment, manual therapy, and hand therapy required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Supervisor-level professional reference required
  • Proof of flu vaccination required, with exemption requests submitted within 48 hours of contract signing

Additional Information

  • Provide outpatient occupational therapy services within a hospital-based rehabilitation clinic
  • Travelers may be asked to float first to cover other sites during periods of low patient census
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate with no radius restrictions
  • RTO limited to no more than 10 days during the assignment
  • Previous internal travelers may return after 6 months; previous permanent staff may return after 1 year
  • Annual and orientation training modules are self-reported and non-billable
