Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Orthopedics/Spine Med-Surg night shift position requiring at least 2 years of recent specialty experience and an active FL or compact RN license.

Details

  • 30-bed Ortho/Spine Med-Surg unit located in the South Tower
  • Patient ratio of 7:1
  • Unit supported by 1 unit secretary and 3 patient care techs
  • Equipment includes lift equipment, bladder scanners, ultrasound IV machines, and mobile vital sign carts
  • Documentation completed in Meditech
  • Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Rotating weekend schedule required
  • Travelers float first, though this occurs infrequently

Requirements

  • Active FL or compact RN license required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required
  • At least 1 year of recent experience in orthopedics specialty required
  • US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
  • Two professional references required for Florida assignments
  • No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care on an all-private-room orthopedics unit
  • Unit features experienced ortho staff and engaged leadership
  • Self-scheduling available prior to schedule posting
  • Unit relocated to a newly built floor in 2020
  • Navy scrubs required as part of the dress code
  • Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, local candidates not accepted
