This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule (19:00 - 07:30) with every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) required.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care in a 29-bed unit that accommodates a range of patients from adulthood through geriatrics, specializing in orthopedic and medical-surgical care. The unit features telemetry monitoring and a physical therapy gym to facilitate patient rehabilitation.
Responsibilities
- Oversee nursing staff and provide leadership as Charge RN as needed.
- Assist in the care of patients who have undergone total joint replacements, fracture repairs, and other surgical procedures.
- Perform telemetry monitoring and manage patient care interventions.
- Coordinate physical therapy needs with the inpatient team.
- Ensure adherence to safety and infection control protocols.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate patient records using Epic charting system.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with required Charge RN experience.
- BLS certification required.
- Previous travel experience preferred.
- Experience in managing a patient ratio of 5-6.
- Active RN license in hand at submission.
- Epic EMR experience is mandatory.
