We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Ortho Registered Nurse (RN) with a specialty in Orthopedics to join our team in Greensboro, NC. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment focused on orthopedic care.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional nursing care to orthopedic patients, specializing in pre-operative and post-operative procedures. You will work with elective and trauma patients, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout their treatment journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize Rapid Response Teams as needed.
• Provide care for Total Hip, Knee, and Shoulder Replacements and Repairs.
• Manage orthopedic trauma cases while adhering to safe patient handling protocols.
• Utilize orthopedic equipment including CPM, Knee Immobilizer, Bone Foam, and others.
• Maintain a nurse-patient ratio of 1:6 (possible stretch to 7).

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in orthopedic nursing (NO FIRST TIME TRAVELERS).
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system is mandatory.

This position requires working Day shifts, 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30), with a commitment to one holiday and one evening shift during the holiday period. There is no call requirement for this role.
