Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to orthopedic and medical-surgical patients ranging from adults through geriatrics on a 29-bed unit
• Care for high-volume patient populations including total joint replacements, fracture repairs, and kyphoplasties, as well as inpatient and 24-hour observation patients
• Monitor patients via telemetry as required by patient condition and unit needs
• Serve as Charge RN on a rotating basis as needed
• Float to other campus locations as needed
• Collaborate with physical therapy staff utilizing the on-unit therapy gym to support patient rehabilitation without unit departure

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Charge RN experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in orthopedic nursing, including care of total joint replacement and fracture repair patients
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring in an inpatient setting
• Experience with medical-surgical patient populations including observation status patients
