Position: Ortho-Neuro Med/Surg RN (4N)
Schedule: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM with a half-hour lunch; every other weekend, Friday through Sunday on nights; holidays depend on the needs of the unit
Experience: 2 years, with ortho and PCA pump experience required
Required: BLS (AHA); EPIC experience required
EMR: EPIC
Unit: 33 private beds at 1:6, with 2-4 patient care techs depending on staffing

Note: The night charge nurse always carries a full patient assignment. Travelers are first to float, to any Med/Surg unit, and are given assignments within their skill set if floated to telemetry. Royal blue scrubs; a scrub jacket is optional but must be an actual royal blue scrub jacket - no hoodies. Orientation is 1 day of EPIC, 1 day with a preceptor on the floor, then independent on day 3
