Med Ninjas is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Urbana, Illinois.
Job Summary:
- Assess orthopedic and medical/surgical patients every shift.
- Educate patients on wound care, mobility, self-care, medication management, care transitions, and other individualized needs.
- Coordinate patient care with physicians and surgeons.
- Delegate and monitor interventions performed by Health Care Technician (HCT) staff.
- Set up orthopedic traction and manipulate surgical traction devices for patient mobility and wound care.
- Manage wound appliances, including wound vacs, drains, pouches, and other urological devices.
- Maintain required licensure (Illinois RN License) and BLS certification.
- Requires at least one year of relevant nursing experience.
- Minimum education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ASN); Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
