We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) who specializes in Transplant cases to join our team at a leading acute-care hospital in Washington, DC. This is a contract position offering a Day 4x10-Hour shift schedule (07:00 - 17:30) for a duration of 13 weeks, starting on 11/30/2026.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care in the Operating Room, specifically for transplant surgeries.
• Circulate and scrub for Whipple, Intestinal, Kidney, Liver, and Hepatobiliary Transplant surgeries.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements:

• Current DC RN Licensure (must be in hand).
• BLS certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with Whipple, Intestinal, Kidney, Liver, and Scrub Transplant Surgery, including Hepatectomy.
• Ability to circulate and scrub; preference for candidates with both skill sets.
• Completion of at least 1 travel assignment.

RTO Rules:

• Only 3 days of RTO (Request Time Off) per 13-week contract.
• Only 7 days of RTO between contracts if extending.

Unit Information:

• Patient-to-nurse ratio: 1:1.
• Patient diagnoses include Liver, Pancreatic Cancer, Congenital Liver, and Small Bowel Abnormalities.
• Special procedures include Whipple, Pancreatectomy, Hepatectomy, Small Bowel Transplant, and Liver Transplant (Peds and Adult).

Scrubs are provided by the unit (Color: Blue). Please note that the facility requires all employees to have the Flu vaccine.
