Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with strong orthopedic skills for a 13-week assignment at an acute care teaching hospital.

Details

• Work in the Operating Room department of an acute care teaching hospital with Level 3 trauma designation
• Primary focus on orthopedic cases with general surgery as a secondary specialty
• 5x8 hour shifts with start times at 0645, 0900, 1100, or 1445 covering day and evening hours
• Weekend shifts required as needed
• On-call required as needed
• Floating within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby as needed
• Uses Epic (Excellian) charting system
• Open to block scheduling accommodations

Requirements

• Active or pending MN RN license accepted
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience required with strong orthopedic skills required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Epic/Excellian charting experience required
• Experience scrubbing orthopedic surgeries required
• First-time travelers not accepted
• Minimum of 1 supervisor reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Scrubs are provided
• Must be gone at least 3 months from last shift worked as a perm (staff or per diem) employee at this health system to be eligible for return
• Candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility will not be accepted for this position
• RTO should ideally be no more than 5 days
• Pre-start modules are required for completion prior to assignment start
