Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with strong OR and orthopedic experience for a 13-week teaching hospital assignment in Minnesota.

Details

• Acute care teaching hospital with Level 3 trauma designation
• Operating Room unit supporting a wide range of surgical specialties including orthopedics, vascular, gynecology, urology, general surgery, and robotics
• Day shift (4x12, 6:45a-6:45p) or Night shift (4x12, 6:45p-6:45a) available
• Weekend coverage required as needed
• On-call required on an as-needed basis
• Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed
• Open to block scheduling
• Uses Epic (Excellian) for charting
• Scrubs provided

Requirements

• Active or pending MN RN license accepted
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent OR experience required
• Strong orthopedic surgery experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic/Excellian charting experience required
• Experience with assigned surgical specialty skills and procedures preferred
• Copy of certifications and Nursys verification required for consideration
• At least 1 supervisor reference required

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a variety of surgical specialties including orthopedics, vascular, gynecology, urology, cardiovascular, and robotics
• Perform scrub and circulating duties as needed based on case assignment
• Participate in required pre-start training modules prior to beginning the assignment
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted only within a 100-mile radius of the facility
• Returning staff must have been separated from permanent employment for at least 3 months prior to starting a travel assignment
• RTO should ideally be no more than 5 days during the assignment
• Facility does not provide references to travelers post-assignment or to former perm employees
