Description

American Traveler is hiring an Operating Room RN for an acute care Magnet facility, requiring an active AK RN license and 2 years of OR experience.

Details

  • Acute hospital setting in the Operating Room department
  • Magnet facility with Level II Trauma designation
  • Day shift schedule, either 3x12 or 4x10 hours with start times varying between 0645-1915 or 0900-2130
  • Weekend work required
  • On-call limited to coverage for call-offs only
  • May float to like units within the hospital or affiliate facilities as needed
  • Epic EMR used for charting
  • Provided scrubs

Requirements

  • Active AK RN license required (license in hand for consideration)
  • BLS certification required; ACLS and CNOR certifications preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Trauma Level I experience preferred
  • 1:1 patient ratio experience
  • Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declinations not accepted)
  • Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

Additional Information

  • Perform circulating and scrub duties across a wide range of surgical specialties including general, orthopedic, neuro, vascular, urology, ENT, and robotics
  • Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility for consideration
  • Former Providence permanent staff must be separated for at least 3 months before returning as a travel RN
  • Travel assignments at this facility are limited to a maximum of 1 calendar year, followed by a required 6-month break before returning
  • Must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
  • RTO must be submitted and approved individually upon offer
  • First-time travelers are not accepted for this role
  • Local candidates are not accepted due to the radius requirement
