Join an acute care Operating Room team in Torrance, CA, caring for a diverse patient population across orthopedic, general, gynecologic, urologic, ENT, plastics, and robotic surgical procedures. This assignment offers a 5x8-hour day schedule with rotating call and weekend responsibilities.

Your Role

As an Operating Room RN, you will support a wide range of surgical procedures while providing safe, efficient perioperative care. Candidates should have well-rounded experience across multiple surgical specialties.

Key responsibilities and surgical experience include:

• Provide perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room.
• Support orthopedic procedures, including total joint replacements, Mako-assisted procedures, spine, and minor orthopedic cases.
• Support general surgery, including GYN, urology, ENT, and plastics.
• Participate in robotic procedures across GYN, urology, and general surgery.
• Assist with procedures such as hysterectomy, D&C, breast procedures, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, thyroidectomy, Whipple, cystoscopy, nephrectomy, and prostatectomy.
• Support orthopedic procedures including arthroscopy, fracture reduction, laminectomy/discectomy, and total joint replacement.
• Work with robotic surgical systems including GYN, urologic, and general robotics and the Mako Surgical System.
• Float to the San Pedro location when required.

✅ Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room RN experience.
• Current BLS/BCLS certification.
• Current state RN license.
• Epic experience preferred.
• Previous travel nursing experience is not required.
• Candidates should have strong, well-rounded OR experience with the majority of the required surgical specialties.

Required surgical experience includes:

• Orthopedics: Total joints with/without Mako robot, spine, and minor orthopedic procedures.
• General Surgery: GYN, urology, ENT, and plastics.
• Robotics: GYN, urology, and general robotic procedures.

⭐ Preferred

• Epic charting experience.
• Experience with a broad range of surgical specialties.
• Mako Surgical System experience.
• Previous robotic surgery experience.
• Experience working in an acute care hospital setting.

Important Contract Requirements

• Candidates missing required surgical experience should not be submitted unless they are well-rounded and have the majority of the required experience; any missing experience should be clearly identified.
• Pending licenses are not accepted.
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required per facility guidelines.
• Block scheduling is subject to manager discretion.
